Japan Through Photographs: Kyushu

This book exhibits hundreds of images from a trip on the island of Kyushu. This journey starts in Nagasaki and ends in Okinawa, including Kumamoto, its castle and traditional garden, the Mt. Aso area, with the largest volcanic caldera in the world, Beppu and its hot springs and Kagoshima and the active volcano of Sakurajima. Slightly more off the beaten track is Kirishima National Park, including its volcanoes and crater lakes. From the international diversity and history of Nagasaki, to the quiet hiking paths in Kirishima National Park and the beauty of Mt. Aso's crater, everything from architecture, scenery, and tourist attractions to food, people and shopping is displayed through hundreds of gorgeous photographs, captured on a basic point-and-shoot digital camera, just as you'd see them if you were walking around yourself - absolutely no editing, filters, special lenses.
