I thoroughly enjoyed this debut novel. Having moved to South London last year, I found the scenes described very believable! (and the characters too) I've also been involved for many years in the voluntary sector and thought I was the only one who wanted to murder my trustees - seems I am not alone. A cracking read!

Introducing Nikki Elliot a refreshing new amateur sleuth from a debut novelist. As the title suggests this novel is uniquely set in Londons voluntary sector. A well drawn group of characters led by the credibly right on Nikki, the book uncovers a complex and gritty world of voluntary groups and local government officials whilst tackling some seious issues. The plot is well crafted with the pace increasing with the body count. I loved it. A wonderful debut novel, I can't wait for her next outing.
