All of the plants in the calendar are identified by their common and scientific names and include: Leiophyllum buxifolium, Clematis virginiana, Geum radiatum, Cornus florida, Houstonia serpyllifolia, Sanguinaria canadensis, Polygonatum biflorum, Oxalis montana, Liatris spicata, Solanum carolinense, Echinacea purpurea, Trautvetteria caroliniensis, and Cirsium discolor.
