Leo Brodsky and the Unimaginable - Book One: The Bogs of Betrayal

ByAnton Shufutinsky

Most children have heard of the Northern Lights. Leonid Brodsky has had the misfortune of traveling through them. In 19th century tsarist Russia, twelve year old Leo Brodsky stubbornly attempts to negotiate a lucrative agreement with the Kremlin’s nobility. His defiance of the Grand Duke of Moscow results in his bewildering transportation through the Aurora Borealis, leaving him banished in a forbidden land at the hands of the Kremlin’s alchemist. Stuck in a dimension of wonder where tree branches are covered with feathers, birds are covered in leaves, and crabapples are actually crabs and apples, Leo encounters mythical creatures and is chased by hungry serpents, goblins, gnoblings, pixies, drows, and hellhounds while attempting to find a legendary beast who holds the secret to Leo’s return home. During his life-threatening encounters, Leo learns of the real reason behind his banishment to the strange land and of the destiny that awaits him in his journey to discover the love, strength, and courage within.
