We present to you the most complete and up-to-date IMG friendly Emergency Medicine residency programs list with full match selection criteria and requirements for these programs. This book is essentially written for international medical graduates seeking residency in the US. The idea of writing this book came from our insight that many IMGs every year don’t match because they don’t know where to apply. Most of the time, they end applying to programs that don’t have IMGs or those that don’t match their criteria hence they end losing money with no interviews earned. The information was gathered from program directors, coordinators, chiefs, faculty and residents. It includes Programs names, Programs codes, States, Addresses, Phones, Faxes, Percentage of IMGs in the programs, Minimum USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 Score Requirements, Attempts on any step, CS requirement at time of application, USCE Requirements, Cut-Off time since graduation, Programs offering couple... This book is a must if you need the maximum interviews to win the match. It worked for me as I was having difficulty figuring out where to apply with my low scores. This book has details about all criteria. I was not expecting much but I still got enough interviews to finish this process successfuly. Just make sure you apply the first thing ERAS open to avoid loosing the spots especially those programs that sponsor visas as their is high deman application to them as I understood from of the program directors during the interviews. Thnx.

This time a I got it right. I don't think its difficult to match though this was my 2nd time. The most important thing is the application strategy and the 2nd most important thing is to master the interviews questions and answers or at least read the questions you have to ask the people there to appear as a genuine applicant. On my first attempt I was looking as a shy student not interacting and my application strategy was not based on my scores or other criteria but was based on my preference of programs based on few states. My advice is look at every program's criteria before applying, this book has all the information I was searching for. I applied to less programs this time based on my criteria but I got double the number of interviews I got last year. I booked all my interviews towards the end so they remember me when placing me on the rank list. I made sure to send thank you cards twice, once after my interview and once before the ranking date. Am doing my preresidency routine... More > things with the hospital like training on the electronic system which looks great to work with. My residency will start July and am very happy that this book helped me. I would like to thank my friends who matched last year for the tips.< Less

I wish I had this book 2 years ago when I had my first attempt. This book made a huge difference in the number of interviews I got. With my moderate scores This book organized where and to how many program I applied to. There was no loss of money on programs that will not invite me. I ended with 8 interviews this year in contrast to 3 only last year. I ended matching in good university affiliated program that has advanced technology. The most important lesson learned from this 2nd time in the match is the application should be directed toward possible interviews not the opposite way as many people do where they apply blindly hoping something to happen but never happen as I got last year. This book is very important for IMGs like me, thank you for helping me for to match. Awesome book!

Am very glad to match on my first try after all these news about more US graduates in the market. I got a decent number of interviews with the aid of this book which tells which programs to apply to based on each one scores and other criteria listed. My advice id prepare your list ahead of time and submitted just on September 15. Some friends who applied late had less interviews. Be prepared for the interviews. I got some tricky subjects here and there but all over it was more fun but bit stressful for this competitive specialty. Finally out of the islands to the shore, starting my real journey. Jain.

Am starting my residency in 3 weeks, this match was tough and very competitive as less IMGs matched. I am glad I matched to a community program, though was not thinking of leaving NY initially. This book is a must if you need to know where to apply and get interviews. Couple of my friends who used it advised me to get it and look into my criteria where I fit to apply. I ended with 8 interviews and matched to program in the middle of my list which was not a bad match for me except for the fact that this program is on the other side of the States. My sincere advice is not to apply just blindly as program directors has a lot of settings on their ERAS software that might filter you out and leave you with few or no interviews.
