Very helpful guide with tips and examples that helped me develop great letters for my students. In turn they got decent number of interviews and most of them just started residency in the US. This book is important to have for any mentor to avoid common mistakes that can affect your student application.

I use this book to write the letters to my students. Most of them matched to their top programs they were dreaming of. Meantime, I feel the quality of my letters are getting better with the instructions in this book.

I got this book to help my attendings write letters for the match. They don't know much about the american system as me and so we needed help. If you are an IMG like me I advice you to get this book and compose the letters based on the instructions to avoid much rejections as was happening with couple of my friends. I got around 7 interviews and matched in New York. It was a long experience and lot of money but I think it would has been worse if I didn't organize myself.

This instruction guide is very important to every psychiatrist or physician writing letters for his students for residency match. I can tell that my students go interviews in better places this year after I reformatted my letters based on these guidelines. It also save time because the way it guide you makes you fill in points and sentences so you get a complete letter with the important information to grab the attention of the directors. Good job.

This book changed the way I write my letters. So far I didn't receive call backs for verification and other stuff I used to have in the past. One should be careful about the information we mention about our students applying to residency. I recommend this for all chairmen and faculty in psychiatry or writing letters to people applying for psychiatry residency. Nice samples.
