Zoie has grown up without having to worry about protecting herself in the Big Apple. Her father is Bentley Behr, self-made millionaire and president of the espionage agency Fermata Incorporated, and he has trained her since adolescence to be the best agent in Fermata’s ranks. It is this level of skill that attracts the attention of Maximilio Villa, the crooked broker with a penchant for revenge. A mission in the Bermuda Triangle—as well as a failed murder attempt—leads Zoie dangerously closer to the secret involving both this man and a past she was too young to remember. In an effort to keep her out of harm’s way, Bentley gives her the head position of Fermata’s newly-created Nashville Division, but Zoie isn’t about to give up on finding out the truth. Along for the ride are her closest friends and a certain young man by the name of Adrian Phelps, a childhood playmate who is still a mystery to her.
