I loved this book!! It is an awesome read especially if you know someone or have been through domestic violence yourself. It's also very sad. Erica was very strong to write this book I applaud her, this is a must read.

Great read!! I was intrigued with story, very sad, It's hard to think things happen to people like this and people do such bad things to people. There were some punctuation error but, that's o.k. it didn't take from the story I hope to hear and read more from this author. I'm hoping if anyone finds themselves in a situation like this get out!!!

Because I am a survivor of domestic violence myself. I found this book to be a must read for anyone who has dealt with this matter or is dealing with this type of issue. This is a heartbreaking story, very emotional and devastating to anyone that finds their self in an position as this woman did with her children. And for her daughter who told the story many young girls find there self in situation as what she did and It's so very sad what this woman's daughter went through also, and to feel as if she could not tell her secret to her mother. The pain she carried in her life caused her to suffer as well. This is a very good book and I recommend many of women and girls to read and also"MEN.

I enjoyed this very emotional book,I can honestly relate to the struggle of the woman depicted in the novel. I've been there myself, the oldest child in the novel Vanessa who's later called Nessa in the book reminded me of so much on myself when I was growing up with my three sister's and brother. I know it took a lot to write this novel, which was absolutely wonderful, I cried through the entire book. I'm passing this book on to my family they will relate and remember as well as I have. Very good writing,I hope to read more novels in the future from this writer especially on domestic violence and surviving this very important subject that is still going on today everywhere.

I received my book about two days ago, I was off work so I decided to read the book while I had the time to do so. I was deeply moved by this novel and I can truly say that thank God I have never experienced something like this I probably would have killed these men in this woman's life. It took a lot for the person to write this story I'm sure, and I salute her daughter for writing this novel. This is a very emotional and very touching I recommend these as a must read!!! also I feel this type of novel should be placed in domestic violence shelters throughout the country, this kind of story can help a lot of women. If I were in this situation this story would definitely help me to make the right choice to get out and take my children.
