With a recent doctorate, twenty-six-year old Joel Weiss begins work at the Super Proton Synchrotron at CERN, Switzerland, when an explosion sends him to 1912 and the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Having no money or relatives in these strange surroundings, Joel is befriended by a Jewish family consisting of Hyman, Sarah, and their eleven children. A badge, watch, cell phone, and pocket computer are the only items Joel has while encountering one harrowing experience after another. Mordechai Kuk, a slumlord, and his cronies Weasel and Hamhock, mistake Joel for a building inspector and scheme to kill him. Helping Joel is Rebecca, a burn victim from the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. For Joel and Rebecca, a romantic experience is just a moment of weakness away. Joel must figure out how to return to his own time while fighting to stay alive without causing history to change.

"What a Great Story!" Okay, I have to admit, I was hooked on your book from the second page on. What a great story! I can usually see a plot coming a mile away. But I have to admit, you kept me on the edge of my seat. Kudos to your master storytelling abilities. Reading along, I had no idea how your story was going to end, and I can't tell you how much fun that was. And your characters. I LOVE your characters! A freak accident sends Joel Weiss back to 1912 New York City. Okay, sounds like fun. But then he meets all these wonderful people. Hyman and Sarah, Rebecca and Abe. And Morris. You have to LOVE Morris. And your bad guys are so rottenly evil, yet I still felt surprisingly sorry for Mordechai. I'm sorry, I've never done a book review before, so this probably isn't the way it's done. But when I read Wrong Time, Wrong Place, I decided I had to let everyone know how much I enjoyed this book. Your pacing and scene descriptions are excellent, there's enough action and plot... More > twists to keep you turning the pages well into the wee hours, and your charcters...did I tell you how much I LOVE your characters. The humor, the danger.... My biggest disappointment was when the book ended. I wanted more. So, this is where you make my day and tell me there's a sequel. I have to know what happens to everyone, especially to Joel and Rebecca. Something does eventually happen between them, right? Thanks for the great read!< Less

"Can't Wait For The Movie!!" by Carol Hajek What a fun read!! I just flew through Wrong Time, Wrong Place. The characters were so real that I was right there in the apartment, on the streets, and flying through time with them. Just loved Morris! What a great kid and character. Loved the action, romance, tenderness, sense of family, loyalty, laughs, and cleverness that kept drawing me through the pages to find out what would happen. Never even had a clue to the ending, and I actually choked up and cried at the last line. Hope there is a sequel as I want to find out what adventures Joel and Rebecca go on next. Loved it!!

"Wrong Time Wrong Place" A real page turner. Enjoyed it totally. The only problem I had was the loss of sleep as I could not put it down. Good Job Mr. Schwartz. Looking forward to your next book!
