What a joy and surprise when this vocal score arrived in my Sydney mail box. Marc Shepherd's approach is scholarly and convincingly argued. This wonderful operetta should be all the more pleasurable to work on as a result of Mr Shepherd's hard work. It's beautifully typeset, with alternatives clearly identified AND explained. Bravo!
