"The Risen" is one of the best books I have read on the subject of the Afterlife. It is very well written and after starting to read it I could not put it down. It gives tremendous insight what we can expect after we make our transition as well as how the people in the spirit world perceive us still living in the physical world. August wonderfully explains the challenge the "Risen' have to contact us and how much thought and planning goes into it. He also gives valuable information on how to make ourselves more accessible to spirit communication and how to interpret signs from our loved ones. I very much liked how this book encourages the reader to believe in their own psychic abilities and to know when the 'Ego mind' tries to sabotage our connection to spirit. I learned to differentiate between my mind telling me I am crazy and the reality of psychic phenomena. Since I read the book my connection with my loved one in the spirit world improved as I now know that contact... More > is happening all the time and we just have to understand what to look for and not let our intellect talk us out of the never ending connection that we always have with our transitioned loved ones. The Risen book also cleans up some distorted myths that mankind has been carrying around for centuries about limitations, rules and laws that have no place in the infinite realm of the universe. I quiet often had those "I always felt this' and "this absolutely resonates and makes sense' moments that gave me inner peace and spiritual empowerment. The beautiful love story of August and Tim is heart warming and lets us know that true love never ends and has no boundaries, not on earth and not in other dimensions. It shows that we all have something amazing to look forward to when we reunite with our soul mates and families. Furthermore August's and Tim's connection shows how we all can still continue our relationship with the ones that crossed over as we are still on planet earth. This book is entertaining, educating and inspiring and a must read for anyone who wants to get better in spirit communication as well as wanting to know what to expect when leaving the earth plane. I would consider it a perfect travel manual of the spirit realm for the astral traveler or soon to be transitioning human as well as the researcher of the afterlife. I highly recommend!!!< Less

THE RISEN is a tough 'no holds barred' book that will read you - forget about reading it! The Risen will challenge your deepest fundamental assumptions about life and death, and, yes, I guarantee that you will never be able to reclaim the comfortable haven of your current worldview once The Risen's truths connect and begin to resonate with your own inner Self. August Goforth and Timothy Gray are a dynamic formidable team - who along with the collaborative assistance of a 'risen collective' of over 1500 non-terrestrial beings - have successfully channeled a 'compendium of universal wisdom', and are leading the field in the area of multidimensional channeled communication. Written from the perspective of their own intimate relationship, Tim and August manage to highlight the stark incongruence and tension that interplays between Authentic Universal Self and one's 'ego-mind', with its 'built-in' biologic propensity for producing numerous simulated selves. They are at pains to point out... More > that the 'flowing' nature of Universal Self always remains in a constant state of tension with our creaturely egos. Because of this dialectic, we experience many 'incongruities' within our physical existence which has the further pathological propensity to create symptomatic neuroses and irrational fears, as well as alienated feelings of 'displacement' and 'abandonment'. Tim and August point out that although the embodied in this physical world have a myriad of creaturely comforts and human resources at their disposal - our primary 'raison d'etre' is to nuture our eternal spiritual essence and wellbeing. I found my own deep-seated personal values absolutely 'shaken to the core' - some completely dismantled - and many preconceptions about life and death reconfigured and reconstituted into a broader and deeper understanding of Universal nature and purpose. For those of you wanting an easy bedtime read, forget about purchasing this book. For those of you wanting to maintain 'ego control' in your lives and who are seeking 'intellectual reinforcement' for your own personal world view - you may actually feel yourself being challenged about the integrity of that world view and being slowly dragged from the security of the shallows into the uncertainty of deeper water! As you experience many special intimate moments of insightful exchange between Tim and August, you will be drawn to an insightful awareness of your Universal significance and Ultimate purpose as the healing, redemptive qualities of that special relationship begin to engage and re-engage your Authentic Self! THE RISEN is a timely and beautifully orchestrated book that contains deep wisdom and universal insight that is waiting to read you, but it will require your constant and undivided openess and attention - and you must allow it to turn your pages as required!
