True story based on an account of a Greek christian woman married to a Libyan muslim man with fairly stringest views about religion and family relationships. This story is paying particular attention to a female perspective and explores the relative human nature and interaction. This book is designed to capture the imagination as well as to enlighten, educate and inspire the reader who may be involved in similar circumstances. One question that arises through this book is - "Is the misinterpretation of the Koran a cause for disruption in the society today?"

"Bravo" Bravo to Greek women, bravo to the lovely courage of Hestia, bravo to her move. All round bravo for this book. the potential in this book is imense. There is such lovely story uncovered in this book that i cannot describe in words. The book says everything. How can anyone remove the identities of children, how can a parent be so cruel to his family?I guess it happens but i need to say bravo for breaking free and zito eleftheria. Definately one to read and more people need to learn about the problems in multi faith relationships.Bravo to the characters adn I know this is one book that will son be a film. I can picture it now. Maybe you need to speak to Tom Hanks and do something like MY BIG FAT MUSLIM WEDDING THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. Bravo bravo bravo, I am so proud to be Greek!Greeks never fail you know and Hestia certainly has not failed.Oh and I hope you all support OBAMA. God bless you all, from Loulou in New York.

"Excellent" Getting married and living with the man of your dreams should be fun; In Hestia's case the marriage went sour very soon and was a recipe for disaster as soon as he started to change his religion, his faith and failing to communicate. I have been married four times and I seem to be getting involved with the wrong men as they want the woman to constantly compromise and change her views.Three of my ex-husbands were Muslims,I am a Christian woman but not practising.I love books that have a moral, I love a book that tells the truth as it is and I love a book that has a fairly happy ending. The success for Hestia was to leave the man she loved even though that meant she would be heartbroken but that was the right step for her.I get the impression that somehow the book has a sequel and that this is not the end of the road for Zak.Confusion, sadness, success, freedom, natural characters come from this book and I must admit I was very pleased with the book. Go and get your... More > copy people. You will love it. Bye for now MH, Croydon< Less
