I read this book through in one sitting and gained a lot of insight to Joomla. It is pretty clear in the way it presents info. Readers are guided through creating a basic Joomla template. As an advanced user, I would like to have more examples of creating working templates in less of a click-this, click that step by step instruction. The examples were a little hard to follow. It would be better to have an overview of the process followed by instructions. I found myself clicking through the examples not knowing what I was trying to accomplish. university degrees online | Corllins University

"Excellent Joomla Book" Barrie North's book has been an excellent primer and instruction manual to Joomla! His guide helped me create an excellent Joomla site, leading me to think not only about design and content. His guide showed that the structure of a Joomla site is just as important to its usefulness.

"THE Joomla reference guide!" There are quite a few books on Joomla out there, but face it, this is the only one you'll really need. Mr. North does an excellent job explaining Joomla in a way that's easy to comprehend, interesting and fun to read. Mr. North is a well-respected member of the Joomla community and has contributed greatly to the project. Honestly, I've read almost every Joomla book out there. And when it came down to it, I only really learned Joomla from the tutorials on Mr. North's site, compassdesigns.net . Now, all of that information is present in one neat guide. Even at twice the price, it'd still be worth it.
