The Triskaidek is a book that I would recommend. I would recommend this book for people who like reading fantasy blended with mystery. I also like this book because almost every chapter keeps you cliff hanging at the ending. Another reason why I would recommend this book is because the very beginning hooks the reader instead of losing the reader. The Triskaidek is a book that will lead you into an adventure and throw your imagination into a world where journeys never end.

Basil Sprig writes about young adults finding themselves, finding their real conviction of right and wrong, trying to fit in, solving a mystery all with an unusual twist on fairy magic. It was a very enjoyable read.

The Triskaidek, from author Basil Sprig, is the first in his promising new Camp Fae series, but it's all about The Thirteenth - a whimsical notion in the mind of the story's young heroine that leads her on a noble mission, an amazing discovery about herself, and an exciting trip to the summer camp for which this series is named. It's a special camp for special kids, with special powers that they've all come to magically explore and enjoy - as Fairies! An intriguing, swift-reading, and thoroughly-enjoyable novel for young- and pre- teenagers who are well-beyond the illustrated short story. The inventive mind of Mr. Sprig eliminates the need for any printed pictures as his writing provides many lasting and memorable images, characters, and events throughout the book. His interpretive talents and level of detail ensures that each scene will portray the same vivid level of imagery for every reader, while allowing plenty of room for the individual imagination to experience its own unique... More > and wonderful adventure! 13 will prove to be a lucky number indeed for all kids who get to read The Triskaidek (even if they've already made it through their own!), it could be a new classic for young readers!< Less
