Life in early La Florida may not have been as history has been written. Native Americans from this region are said to have lived for centuries due to the inexplicable power of a source of water. Early explorers went in search of this “Fountain of Youth” only to come back disappointed. The truth is that it was hidden from their view by a special tribe devoted to its protection.
Young Lieutenant Stephen Hathorne, shipwrecked in La Florida in 1808 will discover the secrets of this tribe if he can survive the trip. Indeed, he discovers that he and his own family are responsible for their very existence! Traveling through threads of time itself and dangers beyond comprehension, Stephen and his new-found love will have to face a madman from the future before they can find peace in the past.

"E. F. Dixon " A delightful combination of adventure, romance and suspense tied together in one historic novel. Being a native Floridian, it allows me to walk where I've been and where I'd like to be. I'm familiar with many of the landmarks refered to in the story which make it realistic and at the same time allow one to fantasize over the possibilities. I anxiously await the next volume!
