"True story on the devastation and recovery of one American Family" Raffaele brings the reader to a disaster that her family survived over forty years ago. I was touched by the love and compassion of her father's story, struggling to not only raise his family, but keep them alive. The story starts with a couple of late night decisions by her father to sleep downstairs so that Aunt Barbara could have a bed. This decision may very well have saved the entire family. I was impressed with the research and dedication of Raffaele and bit my nails as she shared her powerful story.
