Dinner for One is a collection of poems by retired New York City detective Bill Buczinsky. The poems stretch across the continent, from his memories of listening to jazz in Greenwich Village night clubs and swimming off Long Island to his later days among the cowboys, barflies, and mountain lions of the Mohave Desert.

This is a great little book by a virtually unknown genius--a strange old lizard of a man living in the Mohave Desert. It's short, but each poem has a way of staying with you the longer you think about it. A ex-New York City homicide cop turned poet-philosopher, I enjoyed it tremendously. A perfect gift for the retired people in your life. Of course, I'm utterly prejudiced because he's my father.
