If you grew up you’ll love this book. Bill Keen’s very personal memoir of the people, places and events that planted the seeds of a very fruitful life as a college English teacher, father of three happily successful daughters, and now retired world traveler is probably intended for friends and family as an entertainment and remembrance of the man they know. But a skill with language perfected in decades of teaching, a warm sense of humor that keeps the pages turning, and a candor that invites the reader to be a friend will entertain anyone willing to invest a few hours to travel back to a place and time filled with charming people and a world he will be sorry to leave when, before he knows it, he has finished the book.
