Luna Bisonte Prods is proud to offer (alas, posthumously) this vast testament of humorous ramblings and scramblings by none other than one of the 14 Secret Masters of the World!, Blaster Al Ackerman, as well as works he wrote under eighteen different pseudonyms. This anthology includes the complete works of Blaster Al from Lost & Found Times 6/7 through 54, 1979-2005. It includes every appearance of his inimitable column, Ack’s Wacks, and all of the Ack’s Hacks published in the magazine, in which he created poems and other works using as source material poems by John M. Bennett and many others. His processes for doing these works were lunatic, wonderful, and constantly varying and unpredictable. Many of these accounts are included as they are often as interesting and hair-brained as the results. The anthology also contains many drawings, paintings, poems, texts, and wide swaths of other material from an acknowledged master artist, mail artist, writer, and prankster;... Nov 1, 2016A genuine rarity & genius work. Blaster Al Ackerman is too rare anyway; his BLASTER AL ACKERMAN OMNIBUS (1994) is hard to come by. This 384 pp. *tome* is the size of a family Bible and faithfully reproduces 36 years' worth of surrealist routines -- he does "routines" in the same sense William Burroughs does, But Blaster's are a helluva lot more funny. $27 is a chunk of change but man it's worth the money. This is a huge book and never fails to the very end!
Jun 25, 2013Hack Misto Bubbling in my brain-butt like a bawa-acid bath. another great triumph!
Jun 17, 2013LBP received these three accolades about the Ackerman LAFT anthology via email from satisfied customers: "I GOT MINE! Yesterday's snail mail brought a 'big treasure'. I can guess that much of what's in the book was sent to me in correspondence from Blaster... still it is great to have in a nice organized 'clean' format. I love this Iconic book." - Darlene Altschul, long-time mailartist and producer of artistamps from Blaster's artworks..................... "Just plugged the book on my FB page. Hope you sell a boatload." Norman Conquest told his Facebook contacts to go to his site and "Have a Blast". Norman Conquest, Président-Fondateur, Publishers of Sublime Art & Literature - Black Scat Books.........................."Received mine the other day, as well. You did a great job on this. Classic for sure. I'm pleased to add it to the collection. My regards to C. on the fantastic job she did on the Blaster [LAFT anthology]" -John Held... Jun 14, 2013A nice note about LBP's Ack Anthology from Ficus Strangulensis: "I'm loving your and John's collected works of "The Blaster". Last night, I read from it while cooling my engines in prep for sleep and laughed like a loon! Yes, a very loon! Thank you for all your hard work in bringing this truly deformed lump of art to the light of modern day persons! Y'r ol' Bud, Fike/Forrest
