This is a facsimile reprint of "The Song of Solomon in 24 English Dialects." This is really a series of small books that were commissioned by Prince Bonaparte in the mid 1800s. Dialects included are those of Cornwall, Cumberland, Devonshire, Dorset, Durham, Lancashire, Norfolk, Northumberland, Lowland Scots, Somersetshire, Sussex, Westmoreland, Wiltshire and Yorkshire.
The copy used to produce this facsimile was not correct, sections were missing that were listed in the original contents. Others were listed out of the order of binding. One section was added that was not listed. To round out the total number of dialects to the original 24, Henry Scott Riddell’s Lowland Scots was added to the end. A resorted table of contents is included. The original table of contents is left intact for reference.
