It’s a couple of years after the US government threw the Switch that disabled the internet - communication as we know it is completely shut down. Disconnected from the rest of the world, the country has gone to hell. No jobs, no money, nowhere to run, and definitely no one to trust. Welcome to 404. We follow Marco, a naïve young tv journalist and recovering internet addict, as he is swept up in a government conspiracy. On the run, through a very corrupt San Francisco underworld, he goes from hunted to hero, taking on forces far beyond his worst nightmare in search of the truth. The pace is fast and the ride is wild. The story is beyond intense and the violence is equally insane. I could not put it down. The only real problem I had with this book was the ending, because it left me wanting more. Then I read the note from the author and learned it was originally intended as a mini series.
