With the Dornites defeated and Gandonda avenged, Keirine seems safe at last. But Sharma, pillar of the kingdom, can't handle his desire for women. Now even Jina, stalwart of the struggle and recently returned from the Endless Ocean, has sent his belt to Sharma. This time it hasn't been returned. Soon, at last, he will be re-united with Dana.

FROM THE BOOK: 'We got back to our camp just before sunrise, went through a debriefing session, and then collapsed onto our cots. However, in spite of being exhausted, at first I couldn't go to sleep. My mind was full of images of the slaughter outside the gates of Asjolorm. Then, when I did drop off to sleep, I dreamed about Dana. I dreamed that she was lying with me on the hillside near Koraina where we watched the clouds drifting across the sky. The dream was so vivid that I could hear Dana's voice saying that the clouds asked the questions.'
