"Moving" Having been involved loosely with the world premiere production of The Homecoming Tree, I can say from experience that this play is one of the most moving pieces of work I have ever had the pleasure to work on. The story is a high suspense and stress of a family that has suddenly been pulled into the events surrounding December 7th, 1941. The story is a great representation of the era of 1941 and begins when Frank Collinsworth, the father of the family, gets called to duty and leaves the family on a perilous, top secret mission to an unknown location. As those left behind wonder whether or not they will ever see Frank again, Esau Cheatwood, a greedy businessman, seeks to take the deed to allow him to claim the Collinsworth estate. This is a production that immediatly drew me in and kept me guessing left and right until the very last moment. It includes an incredible original song composed just for the play that expresses the longing and hope of a daughter for her... More > loving father to return safely from his mission. I suggest this piece for anyone looking for a wonderfully moving play that is surrounded with a strong Godly message.< Less
