Icy Doom Falls all over a small town in New Jersey. The Concrete Dinosaur gets painted Gold. Everybody wants to escape their own life. People are in love. People fall out of love. Dogs talk to ghosts. It is a novel told through first person narration from the major characters of the work. Point of view shifts between father and son, boyfriends, girlfriends, police officer and criminal to tell the story of one winter and the things that go wrong, are set right and don't matter regardless.

"REALLY FUNNY/ STRANGE VERSION OF REAL LIFE" This book was very different. The set up is wierd and unique worked out very cool. I read it in two nights and to be honest with you I don't really enjoy too many contempary novels. The best part is the way that all of the charactrs tie together. Oh and the dialouge!!!! So funny. Yet at the same time, so sad and tragic.
I know these people in this book. I know them because I've been there, to that town, to the liquor store and bar and diner and everywhere in that book even though I've never been there. That's how good Gary R Smith II is.
