There's more to a poem about the lost Americana of execution via electric chair than one would gather at first read. Lynchings, meth, white trash, abortion, all grim and gruesome subjects - Robert Frost never really touched meth or incest in his poems - but the author has done his best to make these pieces of verse and prose capture grit, joy, and toothless, drawling hope amid a world in chaos and darkness.
