"Interesting style" A unique style for a novel. The narrator at times seems quite old for his age, although I am reminded of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time," based on the writing. Clearly, THAT cannot be a bad thing, as it seems to do well. I like some of the mundane details of high school as well, since it serves to remind the reader that, as intelligent as the character may sound, he is still a teenager.

"Re: Interesting style" Thank you, Miss Clark, for your comment. You said in your post on the forum that you had read a large chunk of the novel. I should say that it is not worth reading the majority of it: only after chapter sixteen does it become interesting. All the writing preceding them puts these chapters into context, I suppose. I hadn't really, when writing the book, put any thought into characterizing the narrator - I simply wrote as myself, but took all of my views on the world to the most extreme point at which I could envisage them existing; unfortunately, in doing so, I seem to have made my own views just as extreme.
