Where Nothing is Sacred: Volume One is a book of poetry aimed at…well, everybody.
It takes a wry look at the human condition and its surroundings, via a crafted blend of humour, compassion and imagery. This unique collection includes pieces on universal issues like politics, philosophy and mortality, as well as exploring some more diverse themes - try 'Aptitude' for a self-deprecating dig at intellect, 'Scapegoat' for an intense journey inside a potential paedophile's conscience, and 'Coventry in Bloom' for a quick behind-the-scenes tour of the poet's city. This writer's bemused cynicism is something for all to relate to, and will hopefully induce readers to reflect upon contemporary society.
Over the past few years C. Boylan's work has appeared in Raw Edge magazine, Tangent Literary Arts magazine and numerous small-press anthologies.

C.Boylan's writing reflects an enlightened view of humanity. His straight on compassion and keen observations hold wonderful insights. A pleasure to read.
This collection of poetry was nothing short of spectacular. I personally love reading pieces that bring up subjects in a way I have never thought about before. There were all these different ideas and viewpoints that really astounded me and made me love it even more. I thought it was an amazing book :D Great job! Adding to this review that was made ages ago, I would say it was spectacular enough that I would buy a second copy. One to have with me always and one to have just in case someone sees what a great piece of work I was reading and wants to take it from me. Or one to have just in case I lost a copy, because it would be indeed tragic if I was left without a one. If that does not tell you of the greatness you could encounter when reading the fine piece of literature you see up there, then I do not know what will and encourage you to rethink your book buying priorities as this should be at the top of your list. You should never have to know a name in order to acknowledge the... More > greatness that lies behind it. He may not be your average famous author and his collection of poetry may not be required criteria in school, but it is great and part of something greater than itself. You may also take part in that greatness that is the evolved mind if you go ahead and pick up a copy.< Less
