"Echoes in the Blue " Great read. Gripped by the action from beginning to end. Good characterisation and a well constructed story. At last an author who can give us an exciting read and evoke a reader response , without sacrificing plot and believability Eagerly awaiting the continuation of Richard's adventures.

"A breath of fresh air!" I thoroughly enjoyed Echoes in the Blue!!! Finally an adventure story that has pace and excitement while still having heart and purpose. The story is told from the point of view of Richard, a pretty ordinary guy whose life is stuck in a rut and going nowhere. He is invited by his scientist brother to help out on a research project studying the great whales in the Southern Ocean. What follows is an exciting adventure of passion, courage, and obsession as Richard and his brother fight to save the whales from the Japanese whaling fleet which threaten to rid the oceans of the whales and their songs. The scenery is incredible and the characters are a great mix that lend balance to the many sides of the whaling issue. This is a beautifully told story, and you can see the author is passionate and well researched on the topic. It is the sort of story that can provide the reader the escapism of being swept away to a new world, while still being grounded in... More > reality, and getting across a powerful message. What is even better is that procedes from the book go directly to help save the whales! So just by reading it, you are doing something to help. I really hope C.G. Muller succeeds in sharing this evocative story with the world, as it is an eye-opener and one that needs to be told.< Less

"Brilliant story and message!" I found this book a very timely and well presented story that needed to be told. The fact that whaling is still occurring today, and under the guise of “scientific research” is appalling. Especially given what little is known about the population status of many species of whales, the fact that many populations are not recovering from exploitation, and that scientific research does not require lethal means. The book, Echoes in the Blue, is a fact-based thriller that addresses all of these issues, and presents a well balanced look at the issues surrounding illegal whaling. While telling a passionate story from the hero’s point of view - who is attempting to stop whaling, the author also addresses many of the arguments for whaling, and successfully exposes their shortcomings. The story is well researched and accurate, and weaves all of these components from different sides of the debate into a captivating and exciting read. It’s great to see a... More > fiction writer taking on a very topical issue in the world today and trying to spread the word. Problems don’t stop unless people know they exist and decide they care enough to do something about it. Echoes in the Blue is an excellent way to do just this.< Less
