Matt witnesses a murder in London and is forced to flee to the Caribbean to save his own life. Captureland tells the dramatic story of his escape and how he comes to take refuge among new friends in the poverty-ridden ghetto where they live. Sharing their daily hardships and trials, he learns to survive in the violent gang-dominated streets of the squatter community known as Captureland. He has degrees in languages and linguistics from the universities of Oxford and Edinburgh. He spends his time between Spain, Switzerland and Scotland.
