Created by Cap Digital, Futur en Seine is the first festive, popular and free event dedicated to the digital city. The first edition, organized in 2009, hosted futuristic prototypes, round tables, conferences, exhibitions and experiments over ten days and forty different sites in the Paris Region, attracting an audience of a million people, of which 75 000 active visitors, who participated to animations and experiments proposed. The Paris region, is, even though the public sometimes tends to ignore it, one of the world’s top eight regions of digital transformation in a variety of sectors such as digital design, 3D and animation, video games, domotics, health-oriented ICTs, robotics, data processing, digital learning and open software.
