I have always had a deep but somewhat awkward relationship with words. I could never say what I meant, but for reasons beyond me, I could write my thoughts down and they would make sense. This form of creativity is the thing that I am most passionate about. No matter what happens in my life, my words can say what my mouth can not.
I have selected the poems in this book because they display a diversity of thought and feeling. Many of these words have not been seen by any eyes other than my own. I am, therefore, revealing my truth the way I see it for the first time. My hope is that by opening up my heart and soul, I can exercise some of the demons that have prevented me from fulfilling my true potential.
