Killing Me Softly
When Detective Inspector Tom Pollard and his sergeant, Sam Watson returned from honeymoon with their new wives, Lynda and Debbie, they were full of the joys of spring and feeling ready for anything. That at least was what they’d said at the time.
Their euphoria was short lived, however, because, before they were due to return to duty, the body of a young woman is discovered in the back seat of a car. There were no signs of a struggle, giving the impression that she had died peacefully, of natural causes.
This proves not to be the case, and as the body count rises, one of the team suggests that the killer, apart from wanting them dead that is, means them no harm.
It’s all very strange, and the team has to pull out all the stops in order to bring this ‘humane’ killer to justice.
