This book includes easy christmas tunes for violin that can be played in first position. Some pieces are for solo violin, others are duos for violins or pieces for violin and piano. The scores include some finger numbers and the book starts with an introduction to the different parts of the violin and terms and abbreviations that we find in music for violin. There is a page that introduces the open strings of the violin and how they are written in the treble clef. This book also includes a fingering chart for the notes in first position.
