"A Note From the Author" This is my first book, written for the 2003 National Novel Writing Month. NaNoWriMo,which takes place in November each year, encourages people to write 50,000 words of fiction in 30 days. Anyone who turns in 50,000 words or more in that space of time is considered a "winner". What comes out may or may not be high quality, but it is extremely satisfying for people who have always wanted to write but never been able to motivate themselves before. This was the case with me. This book is the first edition, which means that it is very similar to what I turned in at the end of November, 2003 to win my NaNoWriMo challenge. Spun of Silk and Flowers is based off of some research I did for an SCA persona. I really enjoyed doing the research, I enjoyed writing the book, and I've enjoyed seeing it published. If you enjoy it, too, drop a comment and let me know. If you think it stinks, don't say anything. I'll know you've been here. ;-)
