"Miranda and her Daughters by Cate Garrison" This book is a page-turner. From the moment we meet Rich and Miranda, we follow their lives with interest, knowing that they will eventually meet again and provide us with the intriguing problem of how they cope with step-children. It is only when Cindi finally appears, however, that the story, interesting so far, becomes riveting. She has all the qualities of a bewildered, rejected, self-pitying, totally unloveable teenager. She does and says such nasty, hurtful things, that even Miranda, who tries so hard, despairs at times. The fairy-tale ending made me cry.

"Miranda and Her Daughters" Everyone out there who has ever been a parent/step-parent will totally empathise with this delightful book, especially the step-parents. A little bit funny, a bit racy, a bit scary, and a very absorbing tale of modern families with two sets of parents involved. Cate has made the hilarity, the anguish and the sheer joy that comes with these families become part of the reader. Truly a great read!
