Not only a wonderful look at the historical order of things, this is just a great look at old weapons. Very enjoyable.

As an ex-military "history guy" I enjoyed the look at a subject I am familiar with, from the viewpoint of a man a century past, offered in the writing of Capt. Tracy. As a "gun guy", I enjoyed seeing the way ideas and philosophies have changed, or not changed, or changed and then returned to the original, in how to handle and use a weapon. Very informative, in both the historical sense, and as a manual of techniques to make one a better hand gunner. And entertaining to boot!
