A fast moving thriller involving the rekindling of jealousy, greed and thirst for revenge. Vengeance is sought when a Lloyd's Insurance market investor desperately struggles to meet massive and potentially bankrupting losses. His rediscovery of a disputed family inheritance pre-dating the Russian revolution sparks a dramatic struggle to wrest a near priceless jewel from the possession of its keeper. The unwitting involvement of two modern time pilgrims seems mysteriously to repeat an ancient medieval legend as present cunning reflects past cruelties.
"Forgotten Diamond" What a GEM! Cannot recommend this book highly enough - a very original thriller that had me gripped from first to last page. Thoroughly well written and researched with fantastic attention to detail. Have these authors written anything else....
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this well written, researched and exciting story which strongly holds your attention to the last unexpected page. It is an excellent plot and I recommend it to all. In addition anyone who lived through the recent Lloyds' asbestos trauma will find an extra reason for wanting to read it.
"Forgotten Diamond" A great adventure accross Europe and into the City financial world, all with so much detail that the authors seem to have lived through all of it!
A friend told me about this book and I bought it at the same time as my daughter bought Harry Potter. "Forgotten Diamond" is a gripping and very exciting read, well written and with a totally unexpected ending it holds your attention to the very end. Indeed it is difficult to put down while reading and is a most excellent page-turner - apart from, possibly, what I felt was the rather irrelevant and hard-going historical fable. Nevertheless this most certainly does not detract anything from the main story which is a very compelling read. If my daughter's Harry Potter book is selling in its millions this one also should, if unlikely to reach those huge figures, enjoy a considerable sales success - I shall certainly tell all my friends.
This book is an exciting story, grippingly well written. The plot, apart possibly from the slight distraction of a confusing dream sequence which takes some of the pace out of the story, is both excellent and unusual. All the characters are well developed, rounded and extremely plausible. It is very readable, enjoyable and a compulsive page turner until the very end.
