Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
"Raid on the Kennetcook River" is the story of an Acadian teenage boy named Pierre who is entangled in the conflict between the British and French Empires. Shortly after the British establish Halifax in 1749, they come to occupy Pierre’s village of Beaubassin. After his village is burned, Pierre joins the Acadians at Fort Beausejour to try and stop the British occupation of all Acadia. As British immigrate to Acadia, some of them create a small village on the banks of the Kennetcook River, Hants County. Before the final fall of Acadia to the British, Pierre and others take one last attempt to stop the migration of the British. He and others raid the village of British imigrants along the Kennetcook River.
