Headlines of 5-star reviews on Amazon.com: "A very clear 'how to' book on cluster analysis" (C. Fielitz, Bristol, TN); "An excellent introduction to cluster analysis" (T. W. Powell, Shreveport, LA). A recent (2004) review in Journal of Classification (21:279-283) says: "We should be grateful to the author for his insistence in bringing forth important issues, which have not got yet that level of attention they deserve. I wish this journal could devote more efforts in promoting the scientific inquiry and discussions of methodology of clustering in scientific research [as Cluster Analysis for Researchers does]." "Cluster Analysis for Researchers" I started using Dr. Romesburg's book, Cluster Analysis for Researchers early in my academic career. I am now on my third copy of the book because I keep lending my copy to others and forget to whom I gave the book. It is the best book on the subject of cluster analysis, which I use frequently in my ecological and satellite remote sensing areas of research. I teach this powerful methodology to my students in my field techniques course, and show students how cluster analysis is used to group spectral values derived from satellite remote sensing instruments orbiting the earth. The price of this book is amazingly low. I am just glad that there is still a place where I can purchase this book. Anyone who uses cluster analysis, or who might use cluster analysis should not be without this book. Given the low price of the book, I just ordered two copies -- one that I will keep in my personal library and not allow out of my office and one that I... More > will lend to friends.
