The Crisis of Righteousness

The Bible is very clear about who may appear before God: only the righteous. And the full definition of who is righteous is contained in the Law of Moses, which Israel was expected to keep perfectly. But with the coming of Christ, Christians understand that we now appear before God in the righteousness of the Son. But has the Law been “set aside”? What are Christians to do with the Law of God — when Paul has told us “the Law is good”, and yet he also said “I have died to the Law!” The answer is found in the Spirit of God, who makes us righteous according to the Law.
