"'As I remember.' By Charlie Martin." This is a deeply moving autobiography of Charlies career in the RAF -which is so rich in technical ability and experience, at the same time as he had to deal with terrible personal tragedy, when his wife slowly died from Polio. He had his children and had to keep his career going at the same time. One feels a deep admiration for his main life's work, his dedication and resilience. He did a lot of flying on long range flights as flight engineer on many occasions. No wonder he was awarded the BEM. -Richly deserved, which is fairly rare in my view. A very enjoyable read about a very impressive individual. Jolly good tale.
