Nov 11, 2012An incredible start to what I see as a prosperous career in writing. Charlie Wilkins has done a fantastic job with his debut novel; Richard Faraday, Ghost Detective. A dark and mysterious adventure that will captivate any fan of horror and the occult. If you are looking for a book that never holds a dull moment then read this! Each page pulls you deeper into the insane yet fascinating world of Richard Faraday. A book geniously written by an author truly and obviously passionate about his work. I await the sequel with great anticipation.
Oct 31, 2012As a lover of occult themes in fiction, I've been looking forward to reading 'Richard Faraday: Ghost Detective', an occult mystery novel by Charlie Wilkins. The story is interesting from the start, although I won't give away the early event that grabbed my attention. I was absolutely enthralled by every page as, Charlie Wilkins not only captivates his reader with beautifully written chapters, but his attention to all things supernatural was impeccable. This book kept me gripped from start to end, with twists and turns promising adventure and mystery throughout. Mr Richard Faraday himself is an intriguing character who one cannot help but be mesmerized by; his charm and mystical nature are endearing and completely enchanting. I was thoroughly impressed by this debut novel from such a talented young writer and the outstanding ending leaves me greatly anticipating the second instalment.
