"Enlightening and vivid observations!" I was engrossed by this book of narrations. Charmiene's interesting experiences and encounters of the culture in America - is seen through the thoughtful eyes of a European. It makes for interesting and thought provoking reading.
"Interesting life" The author reflects her interesting life in this book - a variety of observations that are insightful and filled with the ability to see the heart of a human being in everyone, will certainly inspire the reader.
"Travels and insights" I read this book from cover to cover and couldn't put it down. This is a book where you can read a chapter then reflect and enjoy the essence of each narrative before going on to the next one. Each chapter has its own picture and story to tell - I could visualize the scenes from Hawaii to Alaska and from Seattle to Texas. This author has an observant eye for human detail and she has a refreshing sense of humour too.
"This book stirred my own recollections fo America" This book is an amazing synergy of travel, esoteric and philosphical observations. The author describes real life encounters and events as well as intergrating some meaningful human interest issues. It is well worth reading this book and I enjoyed especially the chapters about Alaska!
