The Big School

The reminiscences by a 1950s alumnus of the Victoria Institution, a leading school in Malaya, amidst the swirling historical events – the Malayan Emergency and the struggle for independence - of that era. Profusely illustrated by many photographs that he himself had taken, this is Chung Chee Min’s personal account of his seven years in a school, founded in 1893 and named after Queen Victoria, that has produced outstanding sportsmen, academics, professionals and national leaders.
