Here’s my biased review. Biased? You betcha, I’m Cheryl’s husband and I loved the story. It took a great deal of effort to get me to read the book. First because I’m not a reader and second because my workdays as an accountant are loooong. Once I started reading I gave up my favorite TV programs like NCIS and Numbers. There were times when I actually got emotional, crying, chuckling, etc. The characters, the place names, and the cultural stuff are realistic. Cheryl has learned well in the years she’s lived here and with me. The pidgin is toned down a lot for the non-pidgin speaking person. As Cheryl once said, when we first got married, she couldn’t understand me when I was talking story with my old Hilo High School friends. Cheryl is an avid football fan. Because of this, the guys will enjoy the book. Yes, it’s Christian and it’s romance but guys will enjoy it. One of them who did is a retired enlisted Marine. The story line, the suspense, kept me interested. And of course, I loved... More > the Christian values that are in it. Chance um, buy the book, read it, you’ll love it!< Less
