"The Jungmaedel Service" is a direct translation of the 1940 introductory pamphlet for the Jungmaedel League, the section of the League of German Girls ages 10 through 14.

The pamphlet includes a short history of the organization, information about membership, the Jungmaedel Challenge and Jungmaedel Proficiency Badge, as well as general rules and regulations for personal conduct, wear and appearance of the uniform, and meetings and travels with the group.

Under the Berne Convention Act, the original manuscript, which was published in 1940 with no copyright notice, is in the public domain and can be reprinted or translated.

The booklet is offered for historical research purposes for scholars, students, and living historians to enable them to learn more about the Jungmaedel based on primary source documents. The translation is copyright 2006 Chris Crawford.
