This is an English translation of a section of Karl Bormann’s book based on Ignaz Bruder’s notes about organs and organ clocks which was written in German. The section translated contains information about reed pipes (reed voices). The authors decided to translate this section for three reasons. First, reed pipes are more complicated to construct than the more common flue pipes. Second, very little information is available about the construction of reed pipes, especially free reeds. Third, Bruder was a known authority on the making of organs and pipes in the early 1800s when many early band, street and clock organs were designed so his insight might help restorers of these instruments.

24 pages of which 3 or 4 are blank, 1 as a translated books original index of the subjects you don't get. If you think you are going to use this to build a reed pipe, I'm sorry you will not. I would look for a real book.
