Confluences of the Gift is the second volume of the Territories of the Alive Trilogy by Christopher Kinman.
In this book the author continues exploring the ideas of Rhizome and Gift-Exchange and the influences these ideas have upon life, community and work. This volume gravitates around the notion of “politics of the gift.”. that arises when the concept of the “gift exchange” is pursued in practice. For, the community-centered approach Christopher describes is often seen as being at odds with institutionally-mandated ways for understanding people and working with them. This Book seeks ways of resolving that tension.
