In his hilarious debut novel Chris Robison explores everything from US magazines obsession with "baby bumps" on celebrities to explaining how panhandlers could increase their revenue if only they had Twitter accounts! Culture. Politics. Religion. No topic is safe from this up and coming satirist's eye. Excerpt: "The elevators doors opened and I saw what could only be described as a clerical version of Hell. On my right were rows of filing cabinets which stretched so far back that I could actually detect the curvature of the earth. On my left were employees stuffed into cubicles so small that veal would find them cramped and confining. My cubical was about as roomy as the bathroom on an airplane."

Very funny and insightful. Satire in the tradition of Tom Wolfe. Commentary ranging from personal reflections to musings on the psychology of the leaf blower operator and baby bump sightings to no holds barred political commentary. Highly recommended.
