Mating Season

The planet Aranea had grown too small for its voracious inhabitants. The only solution was to colonize other worlds. At first it was uninhabited planets, but they were far and few between. Araneans were too many and too hungry. What did it matter if a few million vertebras died. The universe was better off without them.
